We held a quiz night and supper on May 8th 2019. Over forty people attended and a good night was enjoyed by all.
Our summer fete was held on June 30th and was a great
success. We were able to give £520 to each of our chosen charities which were
Audlem and District
Community Action and
Diabetes U.K. We
gave £150 to Hankelow Methodist church, £70 to Stapeley Broad Lane School
Choir, £50 to the Scouts for helping us to set up on the day. We gave £50 to
the Fire
Fighters charity, £50 to the
Audlem First Responders,
£30 to the Audlem Scouts
and Guides and £50 went to the
Team Lewis Trust.
A
video of the fete was
put on YouTube which shows what a wonderful day we all had.
We provided refreshments once again at the Transport
Festival on July 28th.
We have been able to purchase a marquee and a new gas
urn, to be used at future events. We held a quiz night and supper on November
14th which was well supported and we all had an enjoyable evening.
We held another Christmas Crafts afternoon on December
15th and were disappointed at the response. Those who did attend thoroughly
enjoyed the crafts and refreshments provided. Carols on the Green was well
attended and as always everyone enjoyed this festive event. A cheque for f150
was sent to the
Remembering Nell Foundation.
At our last meeting, in February, we were well on the way
to organising our summer fete which should have taken place on June 30th. Due
to Covid 19 unfortunately we had to cancel the event.
We look forward to organising events in the future and ask for your continued support.
